Royal Farms, a Maryland-based convenience store chain, is reportedly looking at Broadlands for its first location in Northern Virginia. The gas station/store/fast food outlet would go on the site currently being developed on the northwest corner Claiborne Parkway and Broadlands Boulevard.

According to preliminary plans, there would be an entrance off of Claiborne for southbound traffic as well as an entrance from Broadlands Boulevard, where offices and other retail shops are going in.

Royal Farms is a “mega” convenience store in the same vein as a Wawa or a Sheetz. It’s claim to fame is its crispy fried chicken which it prepares and serves in its onsite restaurant, along with sandwiches and various side dishes.
