GROUND BROKEN FOR NEW BRAMBLETON LIBRARY

Work has begun on what will be a new library for southern Ashburn in the heart of the Brambleton Town Center.

The barricades are up, a couple of earth movers in place and work has begun on what will be a new library for southern Ashburn in the heart of the Brambleton Town Center.

According to Brambleton officials, the library will take up the first two floors of the new building going up across the street from Johnny Rocket’s, Blue Ridge Grill and other shops. The upper floors above the library will be commercial office space and there will also be some ground floor retail space for new shops or restaurants.

Brambleton is constructing the base building and then the county library system will come in and build out the library space as needed. Current schedules call for the building to complete by early next year with a grand opening for the library sometime in April or May 2018.
