LEESBURG’S COWBELL KITCHEN OPENING WEDNESDAY

The new bakery will feature an changing menu of specials.

Cowbell Kitchen, the new bakery and sandwich shop in downtown Leesburg, is planning on opening its doors to customers this coming Wednesday, Oct. 4. The new storefront will feature an ever-changing menu of sweet baked goods and savory open-faced sandwiches, depending on what customers want and what fresh ingredients they get from area farms and businesses.

The Burn first broke the news about Cowbell Kitchen planning a brick-and-mortar location on Market Street back in August. (See story here.) Until this point, Cowbell has been primarily a pop-up business appearing at farmers’ markets and special events around the D.C. area. The new store will be a working kitchen for them, where they will prepare their items for the markets while also serving walk-in customers.

We don’t normally direct readers to Instagram pages, but Cowbell Kitchen has a page (click here) filled with true “food porn” (pardon the expression). Foodies will love it. Cowbell Kitchen will open at 9 a.m. Wednesday, but going forward you may want to call ahead, as hours may fluctuate a little bit based on the season and their baking schedule.
