MISSION BBQ HEADED TO LOUDOUN COUNTY

A location in Sterling is the works, looking to open sometime next year.

Mission BBQ, the fast-growing Maryland-based barbecue chain, is working on their first Loudoun County location. Company reps tell The Burn they are negotiating for a location in the Sterling area. However, specific details about the exact location and space aren’t public yet.

If you’re not familiar, Mission BBQ is a fast-casual restaurant featuring a menu filled with hearty meat dishes such as Oak Smoked Brisket, Hand Pulled Pork and St. Louis-style Spare Ribs. Sides include Mac-N-Cheese, Baked Beans and Hand Cut Fries. Just as impressive is the “mission” of Mission BBQ. The theme, decor and focus of the restaurant is America’s heroes — namely our military, our veterans and our first responders. The brand actively supports organizations such as the USO and the Honor Flight Network.

The first Mission BBQ opened in 2011 and since then, they have grown to at least 57 locations open or in the works in 12 different eastern states. There are 13 locations open or coming soon in Virginia so far. The closest to Ashburn in Chantilly.

Mission BBQ is currently hiring a management team for the Sterling location. They expect to open there sometime in 2018.
