As part of the ongoing construction of the Silver Line rail project, the eastbound lanes of the Dulles Greenway (267) will be closed this weekend from 10 p.m. Saturday night (Jan. 21) until 8 a.m. Sunday morning (Jan. 22).
According to information Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project, the lanes will be closed while “crews construct a large concrete span and set concrete girders for the Silver Line aerial guideway over the eastbound lanes.”
Translation: big heavy things being put in place over the road.
Drivers will be detoured off the Greenway at the Old Ox Road (606) Exit 8B and re-routed down Old Ox Road to SR 28/Sully where they will go south and rejoin eastbound 267.
