If you’re in the market for any appliances or large electronics, you may want to keep your eyes on the hhgregg store at the Potomac Run Plaza in Sterling. Today, the retailer announced it would be closing 88 stores nationwide, including the Sterling location.
In all, 10 stores in the D.C. market will be shutting their doors. “We are strategically exiting markets and stores that are not financially profitable for us,” said Robert J. Riesbeck, hhgregg’s President and CEO.
According to the company, the remaining merchandise will be sold off over the next few weeks, with the official closing date sometime in mid-April.
