A critically acclaimed chef, originally from Sterling, is preparing to open a new restaurant here in Loudoun County — possibly at the Village at Leesburg.
Chef Jason Maddens was one of the founders of Clarity in Vienna. Now, according to Northern Virginia Magazine, he’s preparing to open “Ah-So” — a modern American restaurant with an emphasis on wine and wine pairings as well as something Maddens is calling “micro-wine dinners.” (An “Ah-So” is an old-fashioned type of wine opener especially useful on old or brittle corks.)
Maddens, who lives in Leesburg, is holding “pop-up” dinners at Loudoun County wineries (the first is this evening) and hopes to have Ah-So open by this summer.
According to Ah-So’s Facebook page, Maddens is considering a space at Village at Leesburg to the left of the Cobb Theater — perhaps the space recently vacated by Bello Pranzo Pizza.
