NOKU JAPANESE GRILL MOVING TO VILLAGE AT LEESBURG

The popular sushi spot is planning to leave Lansdowne in May.

Noku Japanese Grill and Sushi, a popular restaurant in the Lansdowne Town Center complex, is making a jump a few miles down the road to the Village at Leesburg.

Noku will be taking over the 1,400 s.f. space that used to be the Cupcakes Actually store next to Bon Chon Chicken. Noku staff say the plan is for them to stay open in Lansdowne until the new space is ready, then make the transition over. They’re targeting the move for sometime in May.

Noku has been a staple at the Lansdowne Town Center for nearly a decade or more. It leaves just as two new restaurants — French Hound Brasserie and Ford’s Fish Shack — prepare to open in the center. Meanwhile, Noku isn’t the only East Asian cuisine coming to Village at Leesburg. The center also expects to welcome Shanghai Station Dumpling & Noodle bar later this year.
