COBB VILLAGE 12 ADDING NEW THEATERS

Construction should start soon on two new theaters, bringing the total to 14.

Moviegoers, get ready for some construction at the Cobb Village 12 Cinemas at Village at Leesburg. They’re getting ready to start work on two new theaters, bringing the total number of theaters to 14.

Firm timelines are hard to come by, but a manager we spoke with said the new theaters would be ready roughly later this summer. That would more or less coincide with the opening of the new Bowlero bowling and entertainment center directly across the street. Add in one or two new restaurants tentatively slated to open next to the Cobb and suddenly there’s a whole lot going on at the west end of the Village.

One odd note: as of right now, we’re told the name of the theater is going to stay the Cobb Village 12 instead of what we assumed would be the Cobb Village 14. Hey, it’s their theater. They can call it what they want.

Are they going to be regular theaters or newer gee-whiz top of the line screens like Alamo just added?
