INSIDE THE CONCHE: FIRST LOOK AT CHOCOLATE-THEMED RESTAURANT

The new restaurant is opening next Tuesday at the Village of Leesburg.

When it rains, it pours! Today, The Conche, a new chocolate-themed restaurant at Village of Leesburg, is the latest restaurant to announce its grand opening. They will open their doors to the public this coming Tuesday, May 2.

Chef Santosh Tiptur

The Conche is the creation of well-known D.C. pastry chef Santosh Tiptur, who’s famed downtown restaurant Co Co. Sala has wowed guests for years. His new restaurant follows a similar theme — savory dishes followed by handcrafted chocolates and sweets, alongside creative cocktails. Follow this link for the full menu. Also, there will be a chocolate shop in the store selling all kinds of decadent treats to go.

When The Conche opens Tuesday, it will initially just have dinner hours : 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Lunch, happy hour and brunch hours will be announced in the near future, along with special events like chocolate making classes for adults and kids.

FYI, a conche is a device used in the making of high-end chocolates that further refines the chocolate and increases the smooth, creamy texture. And now you know.

New restaurants are always welcome and The Conche suggests mysterious food from Le Mer. The menu is limited but appealing. Looking forward to sampling your offerings.

My new favorite restaurant. Finally, a restaurant for true foodies in Leesburg, yet with affordable prices and amazing cocktails. I can’t wait to try everything on the menu!
