One of the sure signs of summer in Ashburn is the appearance of the carnival, with all its spinning rides and glowing lights, in the empty field north of One Loudoun.
Well, summer is nearly here and the Jolly Shows Carnival is back too. It’s scheduled to open this Wednesday, June 7. It will be there daily through June 25 — evening hours during the week, afternoons and evenings on the weekends.
Look for a midway filled with more than 40 rides, games and food stands. And since The Burn likes to help our fellow Ashburnians (is that a word?), we are providing this link to a list of Top Secret tips on how to beat all those tricky carnival games and win giant prizes. Good luck!

Parents, please be careful of leaving your younger kids alone at this carnival. My 13 year old daughter and two of her friends were followed around by two men last year. The girls were dropped off by one of the girl’s mom, who told us she would be there with the kids- but she and her husband decided to drop the girls off while they went to have dinner. My daughter will not be without a parent at any point if she wants to go back this year.
oh my god thats crazy!!!! wat happened??? are yur kids okay?????
