NAUGHTY GIRLS DONUT SHOP OPENING NEAR ASHBURN

The restaurant will feature doughnuts as well as fried chicken and other American fare.

Another week, another gourmet donut shop coming to the area — and this latest one is a doozie. It’s called Naughty Girls Donut Shop & Cafe and it’s planning to open a location close to Ashburn by next month.

According to Northern Virginia magazine, Naughty Girls Donuts originally opened in 2015 in Front Royal, serving an eclectic menu that included creative gourmet doughnuts, fried chicken and more. They then opened a second location in the Potomac Mills mall in Woodbridge. Both of those locations have since closed, but now, the brand has been bought by a company that plans to take Naughty Girls national.

The new incarnation will include a larger menu of doughnuts and also fried chicken, doughnut sandwiches and other American fare. It will feature a bar and be more like a full-fledged restaurant in the vein of a Johnny Rockets, according to the article. (See the original Naughty Girls menu here.) The goal is to make Naughty Girls a national brand.

The Burn spoke with Natalie Ramos, who founded Naughty Girls with her daughter, Tiana. Ramos is an Ashburn resident and says their Sterling location will be where the Sweet Cakes bakery has been on Overland Drive. (For Ashburn residents, that’s the same shopping center with Panther Laser Tag and the McDonald’s are located off Old Ox Road.) Ramos says they plan to open that location by mid-September.
