AGGIO AT ONE LOUDOUN UNVEILS NEW SIGN, NEW MENU

The gourmet Italian restaurant at One Loudoun is adding outdoor dining, music, and a bocce ball court.

It’s been approximately a year since the Family Meal restaurant at One Loudoun transitioned into Aggio. But people were puzzled when the old Family Meal signs remained. (Turns out it had to do with hang-ups in permitting.) That all changed this week. The new Aggio signs have gone up and it’s part of a rebirth for the Italian restaurant known for both its traditional and gourmet dishes.

Besides the new signs, Aggio unveiled a brand new menu this week. (We’ve posted it below.)

In the coming days, new light fixtures will be added throughout the restaurant and a new awning will be installed over the tables on the outdoor patio, which will soon feature a bocce ball court and live music on some evenings. And if you haven’t been recently, they still have the shuffleboard table in the bar, perfect for playing with friends while enjoying cocktails.

Aggio is the brainchild of celebrity chef Bryan Voltaggio, who has another Aggio location in Baltimore. He’s also an owner or partner in a several other restaurants around the greater D.C. area.

The menu looks better than the last. I might try it again, if I can convince my wife. Service was pretty slow last time and didn’t have anything that my kids liked. I think my kids could find something on this menu. I’m never sure if they are actually open with those very dark windows. If it looks closed, I move on to one of the many other options. Good luck to this place though. A lot of competition nowadays and it’s just going to increase with the counties’ plans for all of the town centers and such.
