When it rains it pours. First Ocean Blue Island Grill closed its doors in the Cascades Overlook center. (See story here.) Now, The Burn has been informed that the Applebee’s restaurant in the Regal Center in Sterling has gone out of business as well.
The longtime staple of Sterling dining, in the same shopping center as the Regal Countyside Stadium 20 movie theater, apparently closed this past weekend.
Here’s the worst part: You know how they say things come in threes. Well, The Burn knows of another popular area restaurant that is about to announce its closure. We are holding off reporting it because the staff hasn’t been told yet. But stay tuned. Times are tough in the local restaurant biz.
