SLAPFISH SEAFOOD REPORTEDLY COMING TO ONE LOUDOUN

The California-based chain is expanding into Northern Virginia.

It looks like One Loudoun is about to get another new restaurant — a fast-casual seafood restaurant that is part of quickly growing national chain. The restaurant is called Slapfish and bills itself as a “modern seafood shack.”

Like other fast-casuals, the menu at Slapfish is posted up on the wall, you order at a counter and your food is brought out to you. The menu is chock full of unique seafood items such as a Grilled Shrimp Burrito, an Ultimate Fish Taco, a Lobster Grinder and something called Chowder Fries. Here’s the full menu below.

The California-based brand currently has about a dozen stores open, all in Western states. However, Slapfish is aggressively moving into new markets including Texas, Florida and here in Northern Virginia.

Word on the street is that Slapfish will take a corner spot at One Loudoun across from Eddie Merlot’s and kitty-corner from Matchbox. The location will apparently be its first in the state and in the DC market. No word yet on when it might open.
