GOOSE CREEK VETERINARY HOSPITAL OPENS THURSDAY

The clinic has moved into a space in the newest building at the shopping center.

(UPDATE: The April 7 grand opening event has been postponed to a future date due to weather.)

For months now, visitors to the Goose Creek Village shopping center have watched a new building go up in between Passion Fin and the Ashburn Ale House (formerly Boston’s). Now the first tenant there is ready for business. The Goose Creek Veterinary Hospital opens Thursday March 22, offering preventative and advanced dog and cat care, pet dentistry, surgeries and more.

The center is the brainchild of Dr. Margaret Fortier, a veterinarian who has spent the last 10 years practicing in downtown DC. Now, she and her family have moved to Ashburn to open the new clinic, which features exam rooms, a dental area, a surgery suite and a diagnostics area.

While the doors officially open Thursday, a grand opening celebration is planned for Saturday, April 7 (POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER), with snacks and beverages, a bounce house and tours of the facility.

Meanwhile, besides the Goose Creek Veterinary Hospital, there are at least one or two other retail spaces available in the new building. No word yet on what businesses might go in there.
