HOUSE 6 BREWING OPENS IN ASHBURN THIS WEEK

The new brewery is in north Ashburn near Ashbrook Commons and One Loudoun.

There are lots of new breweries around Loudoun County and Northern Virginia, but it’s not every day that Ashburn itself gets one. Many seem to gravitate to Sterling or Leesburg or even points farther west. But House 6 Brewing Company is bucking that trend and joining Lost Rhino, Old Ox and Craft of Brewing by setting up shop here in the Burn.

House 6 is tucked away between Russell Branch Parkway and Route 7, just north of One Loudoun. It’s address is 44427 Atwater Drive. It’s been in the works for months, and the House 6 team is finally ready to unveil their first brews with some limited hours starting Thursday, July 26. They’ll be open 4 to 9 p.m. this Thursday and Friday, 12 to 6 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The first four beers from House 6 come with the expected crazy creative names: Firebreak Session IPA, Smoke Eater Smoked Porter, Off Duty English Mild and El Bombero Kolsch. As you might guess by the brewery name, logo and beer names — one of the business’s princpals is a firefighter and House 6 will have a special focus on the area’s first responders.
