The new drive-thru Starbucks in the Broadlands Village Center is just about ready to roll. The signs have gone up. There are furniture and fixtures inside and patio furniture outside. Fresh sod has been laid down.
Even more telling — the existing Starbucks a few hundred feet away has closed as staff transitions over to the new building.
A sign on the door announces the change-over and the glass windows are covered with brown paper. The Burn has reached out to Starbucks to see if their is an official opening date yet, but they wouldn’t have closed the existing one unless it was close — our guess is it’s a matter of days.
The new Broadlands Starbucks is just the latest in a string of area stores making big changes in order to add the coveted drive-thru feature. The Starbucks at Ashburn Crossroads moved to a new building and the Starbucks in the Lansdowne Town Center will make the move as soon as its new location is built nearby.
We don’t need another over priced mediocre coffee restaurant.
Thanks for the unsolicited opinion, Anonymous. Also, it’s not another SB. SB moved across the parking lot.
Just by there. Maybe tomorrow. Still some electrical work
