SNEAK PEEK: INSIDE BRAMBLETON’S NEW PUBLIC LIBRARY

Loudoun County’s newest library opens December 1.

All of south Ashburn is excited about the new public library getting ready to open in the Brambleton Town Center.

Now, big news today. The library system has officially announced that the library will open on December 1. And they’ve released the a slew of exciting images from inside the spanking new building.

The 40,000 s.f. facility will open at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 1 with a ribbon cutting ceremony. According to a press release, the features in the Brambleton Library include “dedicated areas for children, teens and adults; three large meeting rooms; a makerspace with 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing equipment and a recording studio; 10 study rooms and a gaming room in the Teen Center.”

    Can you imagine what the traffic is going to look like on Legacy Park Dr with the increased number of kids going to the park/library? People already go 45 mph down that road and there are no crosswalks/speed bumps/lights etc. I give it two months before someone is hit.

    Why wait 2 months for opening? This looks completely finished.

      Because we didn’t include pictures of the unfinished parts. 🙂

      Still work going on in some areas. Many shelves not stocked yet. Waiting on computers and TVs to be installed. And staff training. Lots still to do.
