A new Greek restaurant is opening this week in Ashburn — and it’s putting a decidedly different spin on this most traditional of foods. It’s called Greek Unique, and one look at the menu will tell you the name fits.
Greek Unique is opening on Guilford Drive. It’s back in the office park area tucked between LoCo Parkway and Smith Switch Road, just a few doors away from the Old Ox Brewery location.
What’s unique about Greek Unique is the American spin they put on traditional Greek ingredients. “We have gyro tacos, gyro quesadillas, gyro Philly sandwiches, gyro taquitos,” co-owner George Marinos wrote to The Burn. “We broke the mold of old school style Greek food.” Of course, they have many traditional Greek dishes as well.
Greek Unique will be opening this Thursday. The restaurant offers dine in, carry out and delivery via services like GrubHub and DoorDash.
I wonder if they will be open on weekends. It would be nice to get a quick breakfast sandwich and have an alternative to the fading Ashburn Bagels.
