The new restaurant features a menu with dishes from around Vietnam.

A few weeks ago, The Burn broke the news about a new Vietnamese restaurant preparing to open in Ashbrook Commons at Route 7 and Ashburn Village Boulevard. (See our previous story here.) Well, tonight is the night. Em Oi Modern Vietnamese Cuisine quietly announced that they will open their doors this evening, part of a soft opening for the new restaurant.

In this trial run period, Em Oi will only be open evenings (6 to 9 p.m.) Tuesday through Saturday. Look for them to announce a grand opening date soon.

The menu at Em Oi will feature many southern Vietnamese favorites, but with unique spins on the recipes. And since owner Ryan Ho is originally from Hanoi, the restaurant will feature dishes from central and northern Vietnam as well.

For fans of Vietnamese and Southeast Asian cuisine, Em Oi’s opening will be exciting news. We also hear that the Four Sisters Asian Snack Bar  — another eagerly anticipated new eatery (see our story here) —  is close to opening in Ashburn as well.
