The Texas Roadhouse restaurant chain has confirmed they are planning an Ashburn location. The announcement came via the brand’s website, where a listing says they hope to open the new restaurant here sometime in Summer 2019.
Faithful readers of The Burn will remember that we first reported that Texas Roadhouse was exploring a location here back in March. (See that story here.)
The restaurant is supposed to be one of the first tenants in the nascent Riverside Square project going up on the north side of Route 7, basically between the Ashburn Village Boulevard flyover and the Lexington Drive intersection. (See our Riverside Square coverage here.)
Online, Texas Roadhouse is actively looking for restaurant managers for the Ashburn location. They also recently got county approval for larger signs on the building, including the side facing Route 7.
Texas Roadhouse is a Kentucky-based brand with more than 450 locations around the United States and internationally. The closest Texas Roadhouse to Ashburn is in Chantilly.
There have been reports that Bubba’s 33, a sports bar chain, is also looking at a spot in Riverside Square. Bubba’s 33 is a sister brand to Texas Roadhouse. But so far, those reports are unconfirmed.
