Ashburn resident Lawrence A. Colby is a military veteran and, more recently, a published author. His latest military thriller — The Black Scorpion Pilot — was just released on December 1.
Now, Colby has two upcoming book signings in the area. The first one is this weekend — Saturday, December 8 from 12 to 3 p.m. — at the Barnes & Noble at One Loudoun. On Sunday, December 16, from 12 to 3 p.m., Colby will be at the Udvar-Hazy National Air & Space Museum.
Colby was a military pilot who flew missions in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere. He’s also worked at the Pentagon. These experiences and skills are put to good use in his first two books — both thrillers revolving around planes, the military and covert missions overseas.
