ROYAL FARMS OPENS NEXT WEEK IN SOUTH RIDING

There’s a sneak preview this Friday for those with tickets.

Royal Farms

Loudoun County’s second Royal Farms location is opening next Monday, February 4, in South Riding. The new gas station/convenience store will also be bringing its famous fried chicken to SoLo (Southern Loudoun).

The new store is opening in the Shoppes at East Gate, a new development next to the Harris Teeter-anchored East Gate Marketplace at the intersection of Tall Cedars Parkway and Highway 50. This is the same center where a Dunkin’ Donuts recently opened and also the proposed location for a future Zaxby’s restaurant. (See our Zaxby’s report here.)

Royal Farms is a Maryland-based c-store brand that is moving aggressively into Virginia. The first Loudoun County location opened in Ashburn last year.

The South Riding location (they call it Chantilly) has a couple of upgrades from the Ashburn location, including self-checkout kiosks and a car wash.

Like Sheetz and Wawa, RoFo (as it’s called) has a full-fledged fast-food restaurant inside. Their specialty is fried chicken as well as chicken sandwiches and other items.

While the new Royal Farms officially opens Monday, uber-fans can get a sneak peek this Friday, but only if you have a ticket. Tickets to the preview are available online.
