Back when Chefscape first announced their plans for their new facility at the Village at Leesburg, one of the many things mentioned was an indoor farmer’s market. Well, now that long discussed objective is coming to fruition with the launching of the EatLoCo Indoor Famers Market tomorrow — Thursday, March 21.
More than two dozen area vendors are expected to gather at Chefscape offering a wide variety of goods and wares, including country sausages and artisanal bacon, fresh produce, homemade scones, brewed coffees and teas, chocolate, lobsters, olive oils and more.
The event runs from 3 to 7 p.m. There will be live music, giveaways, and the Bar Ahso bar will be open for shoppers to enjoy a cocktail while strolling among the vendors. And it’s all indoors — to heck with cold, rain or any other inclement weather.
The weekly event — every Thursday afternoon — is sponsored by EatLoCo, a local organization which supports and promotes local businesses, farmers and artisans. They sponsor many of the farmers markets in Loudoun and the indoor farmers market at ChefScape is just the latest.
Thursdays from 3-7? Since it’s a workday, that leaves me around 15 minutes for shopping if I don’t go straight home after work! Is the target shoppers stay at home parents and elementary teachers?
Seems silly that it’s on a weekday. They must not want working people to attend
should be on a weekend……..
There are lots of other local farmer’s markets on the weekends so it’s nice that they are not taking business away from them. Thursday is fine.
Shut up.
I don’t think they will be taking any business from the other markets.
