A new urgent care center focused on children is under construction in the Belmont Chase shopping center near the Route 7 and Claiborne Parkway interchange. That’s the same shopping center where Whole Foods is located.
It’s called PM Pediatrics and it basically operates similarly to other urgent care centers, with the exception that it provides pediatric care to kids and young adults ages 0 to 26.
Typical services include stitches, treating sprains and broken bones, fevers, ear infections, and more. While the hours for the new Ashburn location aren’t set, the PM Pediatrics in Herndon is open seven days a week all the way until midnight.
The new center at Belmont Chase is taking over the space vacated by the Unleashed by Petco store near Whole Foods.
This will be the first PM Pediatrics location in Loudoun County. One is also opening in Fairfax soon, and there is the Herndon location and one in Springfield. There are 52 PM Pediatric locations either open or in the works nationwide, primarily along the east coast.
Will they add parking spaces?
It’s urgent care, not the ER.
