A popular Chicago-style hot dog joint in downtown Leesburg has announced they are shutting their doors at the end of April. Windy City Red Hots is closing both their Leesburg location and their Frederick, Maryland location.
Windy City Red Hots started out with a food cart that was often seen in the parking lot of Ashburn’s Blue Mount Nursery. In 2010, they opened a brick-and-mortar location on King Street in Leesburg. Another location was later added in Frederick.
The shop specializes in Chicago dogs — topped with mustard, relish, onions, tomato, pickles, peppers and celery salt on a poppy seed bun. They also have Polish sausages, Italian beef sandwiches and other Midwest favorites.
The Leesburg’s store’s last day will be April 28.

NOOOOOOOOO!!!! *sobs* Leesburg is about to be way less delicious.
Food was excellent there, but the location and parking was awful. Its a shame.
Any reasons ever given for the closings?
