HARRIS TEETER GAS STATION GETTING CLOSER IN THE BROADLANDS

Work will reportedly start this summer with a target of opening this fall.

For more than a year, The Burn has been following and reporting on the plans to build a Harris Teeter Fuel station at the Harris Teeter store in the Broadlands, at Southern Walk Plaza. (See our coverage here.)

Now, we finally have a rough time line.

A sign has gone up facing the street showing an artist’s rendering of the station along with the words “Coming Soon!”

We spoke to an employee of the store who said construction should begin this summer — hopefully June or July — with the station opening this fall. Plans filed with the county show the fuel station will be at the back of the HT parking lot, close to the road.

No word yet if other Harris Teeters in the Ashburn area will get the fuel stations as well. Currently, the only one in Loudoun County is in the Stone Ridge area, near StoneSprings Hospital.
