WAWA EYEING THIRD LOUDOUN COUNTY LOCATION

The latest proposed location would be along Highway 50.

The popular gas station and convenience store brand Wawa is exploring a possible third location in Loudoun County — this time in the South Riding area.

Documents filed with the county show the spot under consideration is at or adjacent to where Meadow Farms Nurseries sits today. That’s on the north side of Highway 50, just east of the intersection with Loudoun County Parkway.

The county’s first Wawa opened in 2017 just over the Fairfax/Loudoun line in Sterling, selling its famous hoagie sandwiches.

And it was way back in March 2018 that The Burn broke the news that a Wawa was planned for the Kincora development, at the intersection of Pacific Boulevard and Gloucester Parkway along State Road 28. (See our report here.) That  project was recently approved by the county board.

Wawas continue to make their way west and north, but no word on any planned locations in Ashburn or Leesburg. But it seems like it’s just a matter of time.

Sure this isn’t going in at 50 and Pleasant Valley instead? http://looplink.natl.cbre.us/ll/13888142/25575-Pleasant-Valley-Rd/

Not based on the documents I saw, but certainly possible. Or perhaps both.
