The parking lot is blocked off and work is underway on the new LA Fitness location in the Broadlands.
The well-known fitness chain is taking over the remaining space left behind by the Safeway grocery store in the Broadlands Village shopping center. The other portion of the Safeway space is now the ALDI grocery store.
The Burn first broke the news about LA Fitness coming last November. (See our story here.) Ever since then, permitting and preliminary work have been underway.
While there is official opening date yet, we are told crews hope to have construction completed by December.
I saw construction started about 6 weeks ago. They have demolished the store front to the building to open it up (to the left of ALDI). I looked at the permit paperwork posted. Doesn’t say anything specific about “LA Fitness”?? Is the tenant renovation still going to be an LAF gym? thanks.
Yes. It’s LA Fitness.
Oh just what we need, another gym.
When are they planning to open?
Soon. Early 2020.
