Em Oi Restaurant Closing in Ashburm

The Vietnamese restaurant opened last November.

Sad news to report tonight — the Vietnamese restaurant Em Oi is closing in the Ashbrook Commons shopping plaza. According to a sign on their door, today is their last day in business.

“We appreciate every customer who has come through our doors and are grateful to you for welcoming us as part of this community,” the message read in part. “Thank you for your support and your cherished friendship. We have loved serving you.”

Em Oi opened last November amid a flurry of positive reviews. The owner tells they are proud of bringing something different to the community, but business just wasn’t consistent enough and they were faced with this tough decision.

No word yet on what might take over the space in the future.
