Painting with a Twist has closed its Ashburn location in the Broadlands Village Shopping Center.
The studio originally opened five years ago this month — in September 2014. It was one of several regional and national brands featuring the “paint and sip” concept. Customers come with friends and are given instructions on creating a painting on canvas of their very own, all while sipping on wine.
The closure comes just as Board & Brush Creative Studio is preparing to open in the same shopping center. The new studio is similar in concept to Painting with a Twist, but guests make wooden signs and other home decor items rather than canvas paintings. Board & Brush is holding its grand opening on September 21.
Painting with a Twist has hundreds of locations around the country. Unfortunately for local fans, the next closest one to Ashburn appears to be in Fredericksburg.
