The latest issue of Ashburn Magazine is out today and you’re going to want to run right out and get it. It’s chock full of local Ashburn news and stories that will make your life better. Trust us!

The cover story takes you inside these massive data centers that surround us here in Ashburn. Admit it — you’ve sometimes wondered what it looks like inside, or how many people work in them, or what the heck they really do. They’ve got the answers and a ton of photos from deep in the vaults of one local data center.

Ashburn Magazine also dialed up Hollywood celebrity and Loudoun County native Patton Oswalt to talk to him about growing up in the area and his time at Broad Run High School back in the 1980s. Did you know his folks still live here and he comes back every so often? You’ll definitely want to check out the interview.

Speaking of interesting characters — they also sat down with Wayde Byard, the Loudoun County school district spokesman and the man who launched a thousand memes. (OK, a dozen or so, but still…) Believe it or not, he was a roadie for the rock band Queen back in his misspent youth.

In the magazine, they also tell you how they cut and mow those elaborate local corn mazes, they tempt you with some delicious Diwali sweets and they explore the history of Waxpool Road and why it makes so many strange twists and 90-degree turns.

Ashburn Magazine will show up in the mailboxes for many local residents. Otherwise, you can pick a copy up at more than 100 locations around Ashburn.
