7-Eleven slated for Guilford Station development

The new retail center will be anchored by Enterprise Rent-A-Car

It’s been nearly two years since The Burn last reported on the Guilford Station development on the east side of State Road 28. But now that construction has started on the massive project, people are wondering what’s happening.

Guilford Station is a new commercial development going up on the northeast corner of State Road 28 and West Church Road. (That’s Waxpool on the other side of 28.) The main tenant on the site is going to be a large Enterprise Rent-A-Car facility. Based on documents filed with the county, it may include Enterprise auto sales as well.

Early plans for Guilford Station include a gas station and convenience store. The Burn has learned that 7-Eleven is the likely tenant there. There will also reportedly be spots for up to three fast-food style restaurants, but no other details at this point.

Currently, site work is being done on the parcels of land that will become Guilford Station. Look for buildings to start going up in 2020.

    Please no.

7-11s are terrible!!! At least put in a Wawa or something that’s good and is a pleasant place to be.

I totally agree 7-11 always draws in nothing but trouble for some reason NO we need a grocery store and a WAWA.

So basically it’s going to be a pad for enterprise rentals with a gas station to refill their cars and a couple restaurants in case people get hungry.

    Not sure what I expected.

When I first heard about this development I definitely wasn’t thinking 7-11 and fast food.
