New seafood restaurant readies for opening in Ashburn Village

Rock N Claws has taken over the spot vacated by the At Kaiser Austrian restaurant.

The new seafood fusion restaurant Rock N’ Claws has announced they will hold a grand opening celebration on Wednesday, December 4. And The Burn has a sneak preview of their menu.

The restaurant is opening in the Ashburn Village Shopping Center, in the space formerly occupied by the At Kaiser Austrian restaurant. That’s next door to Finnegan’s Grill & Irish Pub.

The menu will be Asian influenced — the owner is a trained chef of Vietnamese cuisine — but we’re told other flavors such as those from Latin cuisine could be part of an ever-changing list of specials. Such is the wonder of a “fusion” menu. The menu will also have steamed clams and fresh oysters.

Here are a couple of pages from the Rock N’ Claws menu:

Besides the dining room, there will also be a full bar and televisions carrying sporting events.

On opening day, the hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. There will be a happy hour from 4 to 8 p.m. along with live music and karaoke.
