New sushi stand opens in Ashburn’s Lotte Plaza supermarket

Da-On Sushi has taken over the spot that was Mr. Sushi & Mrs. Roll.

A new carry-out sushi stand has taken over the space in the Lotte Plaza supermarket that was once home to Mr. Sushi & Mrs. Roll. The new vendor is named Da-On Sushi.

The stand is tucked over next to the deli in the Korean and ethnic foods market at the intersection of Ashburn Village Boulevard and Farmwell Road. A menu board displays a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, bowls and other Asian treats.

It’s not known why the Mr. Sushi & Mrs. Roll stand closed at Lotte — the lease wasn’t renewed, but who’s decision it was is unclear. Nevertheless loyal fans know that the main Mr. Roll & Mrs. Sushi location — a full sit-down restaurant — is doing fine and open for business at their location in the Lansdowne Town Center on Ashburn’s north side.
