South Riding’s baddpizza opens today

The new restaurant specializes in Buffalo NY style pizza.

South Riding has a new pizza option as of today. baddpizza (that’s how they write it) is holding their official opening today, Friday, December 6.

Their hours will be from 3 to 9 p.m. daily to start. They will phase in lunch hours and delivery in the coming weeks.

As The Burn has been reporting, baddpizza is a new chain coming into the Northern Virginia market. Besides the South Riding location, they are also opening stores in Falls Church and McLean.

One of the owners — an Ashburn resident — said they are also actively pursuing other Loudoun County locations, including Ashburn.

baddpizza specializes in Buffalo NY style pizza, which includes a medium-thick crust, a slightly sweet sauce and toppings that go all the way to the edge of the pie. The style is also known for a specific kind of pepperoni called “cup and char” which curls up when cooked.
