Sign is up at new Choong Man Korean fried chicken

Construction is underway in the former Dickey’s Barbecue space.

Progress at the new Choong Man Korean Fried Chicken restaurant coming to Ashburn. Construction is underway in the former Dickey’s Barbecue space and the new Choong Man sign has gone up over the facade.

The Burn first broke the Choong Man news back in July.

The sign features what appears to be some new branding for the small chain. Rather than calling it by the full name, the sign reads “CM Chicken,” with “Korean Style Chicken” below. CM Chicken certainly might roll off the tongue easier for non-Korean speakers. They’ve used this same sign at their Gainesville Va. location.

The CM menu is full of different kinds of fried chicken — traditional crispy fried chicken as well as flavors such as garlic soy, garlic spicy, red hot pepper, curry and the intriguing “snow onion.” There are other dishes and sides as well. Check out the full menu here.

Between this week’s breaking news of a new Bojangles restaurant coming to Sterling, the recent arrivals of Zaxbys and Royal Farm in the market, the new Dhonno Fried Chicken in eastern Sterling, a new Popeyes coming to the Stone Ridge area, the reopening of Bonchon in Leesburg, and now the soon-to-open CM Chicken, it’s a great time for fried chicken fans in Loudoun County.
