The Gap closing at the Dulles Town Center mall

It’s yet another major national brand pulling out of the mall.

The Gap, a casual clothing store, is closing its location at the Dulles Town Center mall in Sterling. An employee confirmed the news to The Burn.

Large signs have gone up offering major discounts off merchandise. Signs also note that the store’s fixtures are for sale too — a sure sign that a closure is coming.

While not as large as the shuttered Nordstrom space at the mall, and the about-to-close Lord & Taylor department store, the departure of the Gap is yet another major brand leaving the DTC. We’re told the store will close by the end of January.
