A large fire at the 1757 Golf Club on Waxpool Road between Ashburn and Sterling destroyed a storage building where the course’s golf carts are kept.

According to Loudoun County Fire & Rescue, the call came in at 12:28 p.m. and by the time fire crews arrived, there was significant structural damage to the building. So fire crews battled the blaze from the outside.

WJLA Channel 7 flew their news chopper over the scene. Here is the video from their social media feed.

The building was evacuated and there were no injuries. Hazardous material crews responded to the scene to contain any spills or leaks.

Units responded from Sterling, Moorefield, Ashburn, Kincora and Fairfax County.

No word yet on how many golf carts were lost, or the cost of the damage.
