A new gym dedicated to body builders and power weight lifting will be coming to Ashburn in mid-2020. It’s called The Shop Gym and it will open in the former Global Foods space in the Ashburn Farm Village Center.
The Shop Gym has a location in Manassas. It focuses on clients who are looking for “body building, power lifting, Olympic weightlifting and strength and conditioning.”
The space is in the same shopping center with Ashburn’s Buffalo Wing Factory restaurant at Ashburn Farm Parkway and Summerwood Circle. The space was once the Global Foods supermarket, which closed in March 2019. The large space has since been divided in half. The Patel Brothers, a grocery store that carries Indian food items is taking one half and should open soon. The other nearly 30,000 s.f. will apparently become The Shop Gym.
According to social media, the new facility expects to open in six to eight months.
Oh no, the Ashburn Golds Gym might actually have to start trying to compete again?
