Construction on the new Bruster’s Real Ice Cream shop in Ashburn is scheduled to get underway starting this Monday, January 6. The sweet shop is going into the Broadlands Village Center at the intersection of Claiborne Parkway and Broadlands Boulevard.
Regular readers will remember The Burn first broke the news about Bruster’s back in May 2019. (See our story here.) The store is going into the former Starbucks space next to the Dollar Tree store and renovation work was scheduled to start late last summer with a late 2019 opening.
And then crickets.
Turns out due to a variety of factors, construction got pushed to the new year. Now, Bruster’s has announced the work will officially begin Monday and they are aiming for a spring opening. Just in time for hot days and warm summer nights.
Bruster’s Real Ice Cream is a Pennsylvania-based company with roughly 200 locations in 20 states and overseas locations as well. The brand has more than a hundred flavors in its recipe book — many of them seasonal — and the ice cream is made in the store each day.
This won’t last long…
