Burger King closes, search is on for new tenant

The restaurant is next to the Buffalo Wild Wings at the Dulles 28 Centre.

The longtime Burger King restaurant at the Dulles 28 Centre between Ashburn and Sterling has closed. That’s near the intersection of Waxpool Road and Pacific Boulevard. The fast-food stalwart had been there 22 years before the current owners decided they were done. Now, the hunt is on for a new tenant.

The Burger King was located on a parcel of land — known as a pad site — next to the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant and the Resident Inn hotel. But now, the signs are down, the drive-thru menu is gone and furniture inside is being removed.

The Burn spoke with the owner of the property today and he said they are actively marketing it to new tenants. But as of now, there isn’t any official information about what new restaurant or other business might go into the space.

That’s too bad – been through there a few times, less chaos than ChicFilA, service was decent. Believe I spoke to the manager once or twice in the drive through, friendly. This area seems pretty cut throat to food establishments, wouldn’t have guessed that extended to franchise fast food as well

That’s such an awful shopping center now. It takes forever to get in there

I think in those 22 years, they mopped that floor three times.
