Yummy Pig New American BBQ, the popular barbecue restaurant, has announced its new location in downtown Leesburg. It will be taking over the space where the Italian restaurant Casa Nostra was.
When The Burn reported that Casa Nostra was closing a few weeks back, speculation immediately ramped up that the location at 2 West Market Street would become the new Yummy Pig. And you all were right.
According to owner Jim Thompson, the main floor of the building on West Market will become the new Yummy Pig. Meanwhile, plans for the second floor call for it to become a separate Irish bar and restaurant called Wild Geese Irish Pub. Thompson says it will feature classic Irish pub fare.
Yummy Pig enjoyed a successful four year run at its original location on Catoctin Circle in Leesburg. But the owners wanted to get into the rapidly growing downtown dining and entertainment scene. Thompson says they are “excited to be a part of the downtown restaurant renaissance.”
