After many months of waiting, Ashburn will have two new fitness centers to choose from come Tuesday. That’s because the brand new LA Fitness location and the brand new Planet Fitness location are both opening their doors.
The new LA Fitness is located in the Broadlands Village Center at the intersection of Claiborne Parkway and Broadlands Boulevard. It went into space that used to be part of the former Safeway grocery store. LA Fitness had hoped to open this location back in March, but had to postpone due to the coronavirus closures. Meanwhile, up the road, Ashburn’s first Planet Fitness location is opening at 5 a.m. Tuesday. The new gym is found in the Ashburn Marketplace shopping center. That’s at the intersection of Ashburn Village Parkway and Russell Branch Parkway.
Meanwhile, more fitness centers are in the works for Ashburn, including a Onelife Fitness near Route 7 (see story here) and an Oak Health Club in the new Riverside Square shopping center (see story here).
Where’s the communication to members on the opening? As a member, I should not be reading about the opening from The Burn. I should have received a call…an email, some form of comms from LA Fitness Ashburn! This does not reflect well on this new business.
