Weathervane Coffee, a pop-up coffee vendor at local farmer’s markets, will be opening its first brick-and-mortar location in Ashburn this fall. They have chosen a spot in the newly expanded Goose Creek Village shopping center at the intersection of Belmont Ridge Road and Sycolin Road.
The center has reportedly been looking for a coffee shop for some time. Weathervane Coffee will open in a ground floor retail unit near the main lobby entrance of The Heights apartments. Many new businesses are opening in the new retail spaces that have gone up across Sycolin Road from the other half of Goose Creek Village. The original section includes a Harris Teeter grocery store, Passion Fin, Social House, The Burger Shack, Roosters and many other businesses.
Weathervane Coffee was founded in 2018. They roast their own coffees and have both brewed coffee and roasted coffee beans available for sale. Recently, the have been participating in the weekly farmer’s market at the Brambleton Town Center. They hope to open their Goose Creek store — which will also offer wine and beer — in September or October of this year.
