Kirkland’s closing last Loudoun County store

The store in the Dulles Town Crossing in Sterling will close this summer.

The last Kirkland’s location in Loudoun County is getting prepared to close. The home furnishings and decor store in the Dulles Town Crossing shopping center will close its doors permanently sometime this summer.

Dulles Town Crossing is the shopping center near Nokes Boulevard and Atlantic Boulevard. It’s the same center with a Best Buy, a World Market, a Bed Bath and Beyond and a Chili’s restaurant.

A staff member at the Kirkland’s store told us the tentative date to close is at the end of July, but it will depend on how long their inventory of merchandise lasts. Steep clearance sales are already underway at the store.

At one point, there was a Kirkland’s store inside the nearby Dulles Town Center mall. There was also one in Leesburg in the Battlefield Shopping Center which closed earlier this year. Once the Sterling location closes, the nearest Kirkland locations will be in Fairfax and Winchester.
