The new Texas Roadhouse restaurant in Ashburn is ready for its big grand opening. The steakhouse officially opens its doors this Monday, June 29.
On Saturday afternoon and evening, the restaurant held a practice session, serving up meals to tables full of friends, family members and other guests from the community. They also prepared dozens of carry out orders and the huge team of eager Texas Roadhouse staffers seemed to have everything well in hand. They will repeat the practice session on Sunday before welcoming the general public the following day.
Like all restaurants currently, the new Texas Roadhouse is opening with coronavirus safety precautions in place. After checking in with the hostess, guest were asked to wait in their cars until they were texted that their table was ready. Inside, every other booth and table was left empty and taped off, in order to provide some degree of social distancing. All the staff wore face masks, drink menus were on paper and there were no condiments like salt, pepper or ketchup on the table.
Texas Roadhouse is the first tenant to open in the new Riverside Square shopping center on the north side of Route 7, just a few blocks east of Ashburn Village Boulevard. Other future tenants include Oak Health Club, Black Hog BBQ, a mattress store, a salon and a Sheetz gas station.
