A large parcel of land across Claiborne Parkway from the Belmont Chase shopping center is being cleared and readied for a new commercial and residential development going up. The new project is called the Regency at Belmont Chase.
The proposed development has been in the works for years, but only now has preliminary site work started. According to reports, the completed project will include affordable apartments for Loudoun’s workforce, age-restricted townhome residences and roughly 34,000 s.f. of commercial space, which could include new dining and retail tenants.
The first apartments at the site — known as Ashburn Chase — are already nearing completion. No word yet on when construction will wrap up and what retail tenants will be signed.
