South King Street closing to create outdoor dining space

Part of the street will close each Friday and Saturday night, running through late October.

A vibrant downtown dining scene in Leesburg is on tap after the town announced today that they will be closing a portion of South King Street every Friday and Saturday night in order to let area restaurants offer additional outdoor dining spaces.

Starting this Friday, July 31, South King will be closed to vehicle traffic between Market and Loudoun Streets. The closure will start at 3:30 in the afternoon and outdoor dining hours go from 4 to 10 p.m.

Each Friday and Saturday, select restaurants and bars will be invited to set up tables and chairs to create additional socially-distanced outdoor dining space on the closed street. This weekend, the establishments include Black Hoof Brewing Company, Delirium Café, Echelon Wine Bar, King Street Oyster Bar, Leesburg Gourmet and The Wine Kitchen.

The outdoor dining street closure will be weather permitting and run each weekend through October 24.
